“I have always been happiest when animals surround me”
As a young adult I met the love of my life, Clyde, a massive moggie with a gentle spirit and huge purr, and whom I was blessed to have for 14 years. I have enjoyed special relationships with many more pets over the years – some of which are featured on the gallery.
Each one has left me with a special memory of their time with me.
During my time as a manager of a pet shelter, we often fostered abandoned or neglected kittens at our home. It is inevitable to have your “heart strings” tugged and so currently our house is share with 4 rescued cats. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for photography, and it seemed natural that my love for animals and photography came together.
While my specialty is pet photography, it has evolved to include lifestyle portrait photography where I am able to capture personality and uniqueness in my images.
I am still heavily involved in animal rescue and founded Northlands Ferals to support the local feral communities through feeding schemes and TNR (trap neuter return) programs. Furthermore, I offer my pet photography services to a number of animal rescue groups, as gorgeous photos can vastly improve an animal’s chance of adoption.
When I’m not taking photos or trapping cats, I love to curl up at home with my husband, cats and a great novel. Crossfit (and the weekly Muay Thai) keeps me fit and makes life interesting and challenging.
You will quickly discover that I have a genuine interest in you, your pets and your children. I love hearing funny stories about your experiences and anything you want to tell me helps to give me a deeper insight into what will make a meaningful and unique image that will capture a moment you can treasure for the rest of your life.
